Redomiciliation of companies Redomiciliation of a company is a procedure for changing the place of registration of a legal entity (domicile) from one jurisdiction to another while maintaining its legal business status and corporate structure.
In this process, all assets, rights and obligations of the company on previously concluded transactions are retained in full, the name of the company and its bank account details may also be retained.
The need for redomiciliation may arise for the following reasons:
- The original jurisdiction was placed in the "black list" of other states
- Legislation of the original jurisdiction unfavorably changed
- The company decided to take advantage of a more optimal tax regime in another jurisdiction
- The owners decided to move the company to a more prestigious jurisdiction
